FUNNY: Man Sues His Wife for Having Ugly Children and Wins

This is Interesting and funny and i just had to publish. #still laughing and rolling on floor# lol

Jian Feng of China insisted that his wife must have cheated on him because he claims he could not have fathered such ugly children. After DNA tests confirmed that the children were his, their mother admitted to having over $100,000 worth of plastic surgery before she and her husband met and continued to keep it a secret.
A judge agreed that Feng was duped into thinking that his wife was beautiful and awarded him $120,000! "I married my wife out of love, but as soon as we had our first daughter, we began having marital issues," Feng reportedly told the Irish Times. "Our daughter was so incredibly ugly, to the point where it horrified me."

AVIATION IN NIGERIA: NCAA and double standards in Nigeria’s aviation industry

Civil aviation is one of the most regulated industries in the world. Every single technical personnel, equipment and airport must be certified and monitored by competent regulatory agencies known as Civil Aviation Authorities (CAAs).

In Nigeria, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) is the apex regulatory body, overseeing the activities of all airlines and their pilots, engineers and cabin staff, airports, airstrips and heliports, navigation aids, all service providers including the airport authority and the air traffic service provider, aviation training institutions etc. In short, the NCAA is the ‘police’ of Nigeria’s aviation industry.

OFILI: The Confessions Of The Boy Who Told The Truth

I confess that I am far from perfect. I don’t go to church as much as I should and I sometimes fall asleep when the pastor tells us to close our eyes for prayers. Also I don’t tithe. In fact the last time I tithed was a long time ago…I instead prefer to give my money to the family that is about to get kicked out of their wretched rundown building because of rent issues rather than one of those mega-churches trying to build the newest state-of- the-art church in Ikoyi.
I confess that I curse more than is acceptable by Nigerian standards, or international standards for that matter. I curse when NEPA takes light and when people piss me off. I confess that my cursing confession is not a good image for my profile as an African writer and motivational speaker but I can’t give a shit. The situation is too god darn frustrating sometimes.
I confess that I am honest to a fault…that I speak the truth when others are sleeping in a quagmire of bullshit. I confess that my honesty has gotten me in trouble with friends and co-workers. I confess that I can’t stop being honest, that I am no angel but at the same time I am no demon. I confess that if I see shit happening…I will yell “look at that shit happening!” I confess that I love FELA and Chinua Achebe and I wish that I could have hung out with them. I confess that, contrary to popular belief, the Biafran war was a travesty in Nigeria. I confess that I get pissed off when the country acts like the war never happened. I confess that I often fantasize about how life would have been if Biafra actually seceded. But then I realize that my parents would never have met and I would never have been born…so scratch that!
I confess that everything in this book will be written with the utmost honesty. I confess that people might not like what I write but I honestly don’t give a crap. I confess that I will write with all efforts to be as objective but as candid as possible. I confess that all the sketches in this book were drawn by me, but I confess that I got stole sketch ideas from sites like gapingvoid.com and sethgodin.com.
I confess that, similar to my sketch ideas, I stole some of my research ideas from books like There Was a Country and Start Up Nation and from watching hours and hours of TED talks.
I confess that I have no idea what accent I have. In America I sound Jamaican and in Nigeria I sound American. I confess that I will punch the next person who asks me if I speak Igbo and then shakes his head when I begin to speak because my accent sounds funny…and then I find out his children speak the Queen’s English and nothing else (oh there is a chapter on that)!
I confess that I don’t see the big hoopla around gay marriage. I mean I could care less what two consenting men do behind closed doors. Except if the men happen to be politicians deciding how to steal “our”…I take that back…Niger Deltan’s oil money. I confess that I am less worried about two men screwing each other and more worried about a politician screwing an entire nation…over and over again!
I confess that this book will be one of the most candid and honest books you would have read in a long time. I confess that if you are not ready to get your head shit-smacked with the book, you should drop it, ‘cause it would change your perceptions about a lot of things. But then again, I confess that this book will make you laugh, so you should not really drop it.
I confess that I often write crazy chapter titles to shock people into reading my books. I confess that some of my crazy chapter titles include “Corruption is Like Sex” and “Our Dangerous Addiction to Intelligence.”
And I confess finally that I am blessed with a great family and friends that I sometimes neglect because of my introverted nature. But I do love them dearly and pray that I can make time so we can all spend time together.
These are my confessions and this is my book. I hope you like it…but then again the goal is not for you to like it but to be moved by it.

OPINIONS: AN OPEN LETTER TO NCAA

Three weeks after the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) suspended its operations for a safety/technical audit, about 540 direct workers of DANA Air yesterday wrote a letter of appeal to the regulator, urging it to expedite action on the audit of the carrier.

OPEN LETTER TO NCAA

RE: OPERATIONAL AUDIT OF DANA AIR

In compliance with the October 6, 2013 directive by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) for Dana Air to suspend its flight operations to allow for an audit of the airline’s operations, the management of the company shut down its operations without delay.

Subsequently, as a result of the suspension (and understandably so), the airline directed its Nigerian and expatriate staff to proceed on compulsory leave without pay, with a promise to recall staff as soon as the audit process is completed.

It is now 3weeks since the NCAA directive and, though the airline is open and ready for the planned audit, it is worrisome that the NCAA is yet to commence the audit and no clear direction or timeline has been given to the airline for completion of the same.

The continuous grounding of Dana Air is causing untold hardship for the hitherto ‘gainfully-employed’ staff of the airline, and with NCAA’s inaction regarding the audit, there appears to be no relief in sight to the sufferings of the airline’s staff and their numerous dependants.

NCAA’s action or inaction is not without consequences for the average Nigerian traveler with the few airlines left taking advantage of the dearth of operators to hike fares and offer poor services to helpless customers. Businesses and nation’s economy are negatively impacted too. Need we mention the negative signals being sent to potential investors in the sector?

It is for these reasons that we, the over 540 directly-employed Nigerian staff of Dana Air, are appealing to the NCAA to save us and the airline by carrying out its statutory role devoid of sentiments and political interference, and commencing the planned operational audit of the airline without any further delay.

At Dana Air, the safety and comfort of our guests and crew has always been a major priority and we pledge to continue to offer our full cooperation to the NCAA and all other relevant agencies in ensuring safer skies as we strive to consistently deliver world-class air transport services to our esteemed guests.

NIGERIAN AVIATION: BETWEEN STELLA ODUAH AND ALUU 4

The Minister of Aviation Mrs Stella Oduah seems to have a lot hanging over her head these days from the re - withdrawal of the Dana license drama to the purchase of the bullet proof 'SUPER EXPENSIVE VEHICLES' saga. This article came in a few days ago and with my tight schedule, I was only able to go through it today. Edet seems to have a point here and let us always remember the ALUU 4 in our prayers.

DANA ASSURES TOTAL COMMITMENT TO AUDIT PROCESS, SENDS APOLOGY LETTER TO GUESTS

Following the FG directive to stop operations, Dana Air writes an apology letter to its esteemed customers and promises safe flying henceforth.
The fear of FG seems to be the beginning of wisdom. *winks*
See Letter after the cut...

TO OUR ESTEEMED GUESTS

APOLOGY FOR INTERRUPTION IN FLIGHT SERVICES

We wish to express our sincere apologies for the interruption in our flight services due to a directive by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) on Sunday, October 6, 2012.
The action, we have been informed, is to allow the regulatory agency to conduct an operational audit of all airlines operating locally by external consultants, and Dana Air is the first airline to be so audited.
We regret all inconveniences caused as a result of this interruption and we would like to assure you of our total commitment to the process and full cooperation with the authorities.
At Dana Air, the safety and comfort of our guests and crew is a major priority and we would continue to adhere strictly to all local and international safety regulations in the delivery of our world class air transport services.

Signed
Management.

Dana Air: the fall guy in the aviation industry?

A concerned Nigerian sent in this article and after going through, i decided it was worth publishing. Let us try to see this Dana drama from another angle.

In the wake of the recent Associated Airlines crash, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority in its usual knee jerk style clamped down the wings of  Dana airline to give a false impression of closely monitoring the activities of airlines which it had hitherto abdicated.  Dana Airline has become the fall guy resulting from the inefficiency and incompetence of the NCAA. A crash occurs and the first thing to do is to look for a scape-goat, instead of focusing on the real issues bedeviling the industry.

HEALTH: 2013 World Mental Health Day: Taking Care of You

World Mental Health Day is celebrated on every 10th of October. Today, I take a moment to reflect on the many challenges faced by those living with mental illness, especially those who are unable to access treatment.
This is a perfect way to urge others to support mental health prevention, mental health education, and improved access to mental health treatment. Today is our chance to restart the conversation about mental health, to speak openly about uncertainties and misconceptions surrounding mental illnesses, and to move toward eliminating the damaging and unnecessary stigma that lingers around mental illness.

URE EKE adds another year

Happy birthday Pweety.
Wishing you LLNP.
