Baby Rocknroll has arrived! Kate Winslet welcomed her
first child with husband Ned
Rocknroll, a baby boy, her rep confirmed. The actress gave birth on
Saturday, Dec. 7, at an NHS Hospital in Sussex County, U.K. "Mother and
baby are doing great," the rep says.
The 38-year-old actress confirmed she was expecting her first child with Rocknroll, who is the
nephew of Virgin billionaire Richard
Branson, back in June. Winslet secretly married the fellow Brit and
Virgin Galactic executive in December 2012 after over a year of dating.
The Titanic star
is already mom to daughter Mia Threapleton, 13, and Joe Mendes, nearly 10, with
ex-husbands Jim Threapleton and
director Sam Mendes respectively. In
an interview with Vogue in November 2013,
Winslet opened up about her failed marriages and how they
co-parent. "My kids don't go back and forth; none of this 50/50
time with the mums and dads -- my children live with me; that is it," she
said. "That is it!"
