Gov Fashola supports De Ultimate Commander

Gov. Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State on Wednesday urged Nigerians to support Osita Offor, aka De Ultimate Commander, as he defends his title against American Bobby Lashley on Dec. 6.
A statement released by the organisers, said the governor made the call while receiving a delegation of the wrestlers in his office in Ikeja.
It said that apart from the Commander/Lashley heavyweight title fight tagged, ‘The Battle of Legends’ there would be other supporting bouts.
The event would hold at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
“I want to assure you that Lagos State will support you, in whichever way possible, because ours is a government that places much premium on its youth,” the statement quoted the governor as saying.
It said that the governor urged De Commander to train intensely, so as to retain his title as the Universal Pro Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion.
According to the statement, the governor commended the organisers for ensuring that the fight took place in the country, and Lagos, in particular.
