The red flag, on Valentine's Day
sagged, limp, lifeless on a half mast;
She's gone, Susan 'Goldie' Harvey.
Stop the music! weep, now we must!
She has lived the life, youth full one
Chronicled in life's little gains.
Swift, like a comet, the star's gone,
Filling our hearts' hollow with pains.
Wine of mirth now turn into water,
The Love-scented Kiss turn sour,
Our broken hearts lost their laughter,
The Lover's Joy turns into sorrow.
We miss Goldie Harvey, we do
Hold her memory dear to heart.
We can't stop the falling tears though,
But REST IN PEACE, NAIJA'S SWEETHEART.
OH DEATH! GIVE US BACK GOLDIE
I still will not believe in this death
If it took Goldie away from us
I won't write her a epitaph yet
Nor reconcile with Goldie's Demise.
Until the resurrection trump sounds
In the great by-and-by, up yonder
If I don't see her in glory clouds
Strumming Golden harp, clouds under
Nwo biko! give back our treasure,
We will not lay this one in heaven.
Though precious and priceless, she's for sure,
Our world's dull without Goldie Harvey.
