He attended Ibadan Grammar School and went on to graduate with a Bsc in Agricultural Science from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomosho in 2007.Olanrewaju fell for fashion and modeling at a very early stage as his
family had a fabrics business.
Inspired by Tyson beckford, Lanre got his first break as a model in 2003 when he was discovered by Bayo Adegbe of Modela Modeling Agency Nigeria. That sparked off his career as a professional Model and his
manager Egbin Management played a pivotal role in his career as a model.
He spent two years at Model la Modeling Agency and then was called to South Africa by G3 modeling Agency. Whilst at G3 and inspired by Ralph Lauren, he developed his own label (lanreyAkins) now he is the CEO of the fast growing Lanrey Akins Fashion and Jewelery.
If I had to change anything in Nigeria it would be the corruption,
Nigeria is rich and filled with talented people, so sad that corruption has stagnated her growth.
Modeling here in South Africa pays more and gives you a lot more exposure.
Since leaving Nigeria it has been awesome, I’ve gotten to work with the crème d’la crème of the industry and I have been exposed to so many things and so many people, not to say I met my lovely wife Casey here, can't
complain.
My label is an exclusive label, I make high end clothes for stars, male, female and children, we are set to release our
2013 winter collection, visit our website
