Helicopter Crash In Bayelsa - Aboard Top Nigerian Dignitaries


A Helicopter is reported to have crashed in Bayelsa State some hours ago.
The helicopter is reported to have been carrying the Governor of Kaduna state, Patrick Yakowa,  and former NSA  Andrew Owoeye Azazi and several aides  who were attending the burial of the father of Presidential aide Oronto Douglas has crashed in Bayelsa state.
According to NEMA's spokesperson, NEMA has activated it search and rescue team in colloboration with other response agencies over an helicopter that was suspected to have crashed in Bayelsa State.
Governor Patrick Yakowa of Kaduna State and former National Security Adviser Andrew Owoye Azazi have been confirmed dead in a helicopter that crashed today in Bayelsa State, a reliable source has told media.
Governor Yakowa and Mr. Azazi, a retired military general who served as chief security adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, were among passengers in the ill-fated helicopter.
